Karen is the ACT Coordinator for the national charity My Wedding Wish which gifts weddings to couples who are affected by terminal illness.
On 12 June 2016, the ACT Crew was called to action and pulled out all stops and gave a wonderful couple, Jana and Ash, and their three beautiful children, the wedding of their dreams.
The efforts and generosity by all the wedding professionals was nothing short of heroic. In less than 24 hours, offers of support from some of the very best wedding industry professionals in the ACT came flooding in. Canberra certainly rallied behind this cause and put on a wedding to remember! All involved described the experience as being a privilege to be part of a miracle.
Julia Brownlee from Fine Lines Celebrations wrote and delivered a beautiful ceremony and made Jana and Ash’s dreams of becoming husband and wife a reality. Ash was adamant that they were to be married on 12 June, as this was the date that he met is beautiful partner eight years ago.
